AI mode uses Google's MediaPipe person-segmentation model, running entirely on your device. The model file downloads once (about 10 MB) when you first create a photo — your photo itself is never uploaded anywhere. The AI result is applied when you press “Create Photo”.

The changer replaces only the background connected to the edges of the photo. It works best when the original background is plain and a different colour from your skin, hair and clothes. If it removes too much, lower the strength; if too little background changes, raise it.

Tips for a photo that gets accepted

Most rejections happen for simple reasons. Use a recent photo with a plain, light background; face the camera directly with both ears and your forehead visible; avoid shadows across the face, tilted heads, hats and sunglasses. For SSC and similar exams, the photo should be recent, in colour, and the file must be a JPEG inside the stated KB window — our SSC preset crops to 276 × 354 pixels and automatically compresses the file to under 50 KB. If a form states a different maximum size, type it in the KB box above and the maker will fit your photo under it while keeping the best possible quality.
